This marked the beginning of the graphical web, as web pages began to incorporate more advanced design elements. In 2014, HTML5 was released, which introduced many new features and capabilities, including support for multimedia content, improved accessibility, and better integration with JavaScript.

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), which is used to style and layout web pages, was introduced in 1996 by Håkon Wium Lie, a Norwegian web developer. The goal of CSS was to separate the presentation of a web page from its content, making it easier to style and maintain.

Today, CSS is an essential tool for web developers, allowing them to create beautiful and responsive web pages. New features and capabilities are still being added to CSS, ensuring that it will remain an important part of web development for years to come.
